MAMADOU KABA TRAORÉ, pHD.

Mamadou Kaba Traoré is a full Professor in the Department of Engineering Sciences at The University of Bordeaux, France. He received his MSc. in Mathematics and Computational Science in 1988, and his PhD in Computer Science in 1992, both at the Blaise Pascal University, France. While Associate Professor at the Clermont Auvergne University, he has first headed the Logistic and Transport teaching Department, and then the MCs degree in Web and Mobile Engineering. While involved in the TOKTEN (Transfer of Knowledge Through Expatriate Nationals) program in Mali for more than 15 years, Mamadou has coordinated from 2009 to 2012 the EU-funded RAMSES project for linking Universities from Europe and the ACP (African, Carribean and Pacific countries). He has been Acting President of the World Bank-led African University of Science and Technology (AUST, Abuja – Nigeria) from 2012 to 2014. Mamadou is currently coordinating an EU ERASMUS project on Industry 4.0 between 8 universities across 6 European countries, with a strong AI component. His research activities are in Simulation and AI. The vision of Prof Traoré is the emergence of a Pan African center of excellence for Computational Sciences.
